Think that new black and purple looks pretty slick as it is on the website? Yeah, me too. That’s why I decided to make more of it! Yes, this has nothing to do with tech news, but I’ve made wallpapers for both a 1080p desktop display as well as for your Android (840×480) device! If I get enough requests, of course I’ll make some more. Next up are probably 320×480 and a 1024×768 variants. These are just something I whipped up real quick, thought some of you might be interested in. They’re pretty slick. The font I use is called “Defuse” and it can be found here. I took the “splatter” from here because I was too lazy to make one myself. I’m being honest, and that counts for something, right?

Save the top ones target to use it on your Droid, or download the one below for your desktop. Be sure to leave a comment if you need a different resolution or be a real American and do it yourself!
Now this isn’t my own work and I can’t take credit for it, but I did put it together to make it work on a PS3. I have recently obtained said console and will be working on more themes for it in the future. For now I just really wanted a kinda grungy looking Android wallpaper and this fit the bill perfectly. I merely took a wallpaper from odamieanhere and used a template by d33eniz that I took from here. d33eniz has a link in the description for a transparent .png file for those of you looking to make your own. And if you do, leave a link in the comments and I’ll update the post with any of your guys’ stuff! Cheers!
Hey guys! As you may have noticed, I’ve been a little bit lax in the updating of the blogs. Well, lots has happened and I’ll be getting to that in due time. Till then, I’d like to let you know what’s been occupying my time. Portal, Portal 2, and Portal Prelude. Yes, I’ve been binging hard on that most lovable puzzle solving video game. That’s not the only reason, I’ve had lots of work going on and just life, ya know? Anyways, this post is just to show off some work for a Portal “theme” I have started. I actually just got the wallpapers from this guy here over at DeviantArt, but the user picture is my own work. Feel free to download and redistribute. I’m also hoping some of you guys will post your own creations or some central link to get more wallpapers and the like. Thanks in advance! Keep thinking with portals!
You stay classy, World Wide Web.
Update! I’ve got a kickass login screen wallpaper for you guys to try! Picture after the break!
Everyone wants a slice of that delicous 20mbps Verizon 4G pie, but the reality is a lot of us have a lot left in our contracts. What are we poor saps stuck on 2mbps 3G supposed to do? Why, fake it of course! Imitation is the highest form of flattery and thusly I’ll be showing you how easy it is to have your flabby 3G Droid jogging along next to that sexy 4G Thunderbolt. Granted you won’t actually see any speed improvements (believe me I did extensive testing), but at least you’ll look fast. It’s like racing stripes for your phone. Any way, here’s what I did:
This is all assuming you have a rooted phone running a custom ROM. These might work with stock software, but it’s unlikely. First off, get MetaMorph downloaded and installed on your Droid of choice. It also requires the latest BusyBox, but odds are you already have that.
Next, head over to this link from DroidPirate.com and download your choice of color: Here. It’s a fantastic website with loads of other custom icons you may also choose to install, just one at a time. Get that .zip you downloaded copied to your sdcard\AndroidThemes.
Go into MetaMorph on your phone. Let it run its check. Then select install new theme.
It’ll uncompress and then click “ok” on the popup. Select apply all.
This might take a while, but don’t touch anything.
So long as you didn’t touch anything, you should simply select “Reboot” on the popup.
Reboots. Tada! You now magically have a 4G LTE modem! Show off to your friends and complain about the lack of coverage and that’s why your phone doesn’t seem any faster.

Take it for what you will, but my site had more of a grunge feel to it than I really wanted. In the interest of making things at least appear nicer than they perhaps are, I’ve endeavored to create a look that is still edgy and unique but refined and truly professional. I do hope eventually to write for some big blog or other tech news website (I’m looking at you Engadget) so my appearance here should reflect my level of professionalism. If that changes in the future, I’ll let you know and so will my theme. For now, enjoy the stock “Morning After” theme. Despite the qualms I have about the moral implications of using a theme named as such, I really like the layout and the featured story at the top. It also supports custom header and background (yes, this is a mini-plug) so I’ll be swapping it out for my own in the future. If you want to take a look at it for yourself, feel free to here. I’ll keep cranking out news stories and opinion pages just as quick as I can to keep up with the brisk pace the tech world runs at. Hopefully I’ll get swept up by some bigger power. Here’s to hoping!
Yes, yes, “android debug bridge” I know, I know. Now that you’re over that we get down to the nitty gritty. New theme, new layout, and new background and header images. It’s all fresh and still has that new theme smell. Well drink it in. I’m thinking of doing a few more modifications, I’m starting to get the hang of this WordPress thing. A new base color every couple of weeks will help keep things fresh and I’ll be swapping in new logos and banners as I see fit. I’ll also be trying to include some kind of relevant image with all of my posts. I’m a little rusty in the Photoshop department so it might be a little touch and go here for a little while. Hope you enjoy it, hit me up with any requests and let me know what you guys think. Personally, I think it looks pretty freaking sweet.
